Jane's journey started with a desire to create a business that allowed her to
I recently got back from a quick weekend trip to New York. It’s one of my favorite places to go for a short trip – there’s always so much to do and it’s easy to put together a great itinerary for a few days. We did a mix of casual Central Park afternoons, chic dinners, and everything in between and the weather was a gorgeous refreshing 75/80 every day. I pulled a mix of my own wardrobe and fashion rentals from Rent the Runway and FashionPass and it was perfect. If you’re looking for spring outfit inspiration or planning a NY trip of your own, you can find all of the links to my outfits below.
One of my first looks of the trip was this denim on denim moment. I love the tailored waist of the top – I find it so much more flattering than the oversized button down cuts that are everywhere right now. The denim has a slight barrel on the leg, and both pieces were surprisingly light and breathable.
We looked like absolute tourists this night but it was only fitting for a walk from Soho to Times Square. I’ve been to New York a few times previously and never have been to Times Square. Typically not my speed but we had a few extra hours before dinner and decided it would be fun to take a long walk through the neighborhoods and see it just for fun. I’m obsessed with these shoes for walking in and they were under $50. A relaxed denim & layered sweater look is always amazing for nighttime when it starts to cool down.
This was one of my favorite looks of the trip. I found these Sezane earrings in Soho the day before, and paired them with a Skims tee, a boucle jacket (wish I would’ve gone one size up), and some wide leg jeans. Very comfortable for walking around in the Upper East Side/Central Park for the morning.
For a French dinner at Le Coucou in Soho I wore a chic full length Bronx & Banco black lace moment. I wore it with the same mesh flats I wore almost all weekend, and a white fur jacket for the cold / to dress it down a bit.
